Founded in 1947 near Milan by brothers Gianni and Renzo Merlini, Bremer Valves Srl began as a manufacturer of high-tech products, combining advanced engineering with innovative design.
The company’s name, Bremer, is a blend of “Brevetti” (Italian for patents) and the family name “Merlini,” symbolizing the fusion of innovation and craftsmanship that has driven the company’s success for over seven decades.
Initially focused on producing cableway wagons, trolleys, and cabins, Bremer shifted its focus in the early 1960s to an emerging technology: the ball valve. Recognizing the potential of this innovative product, the company dedicated a new department to the study and production of ball valves, prioritizing quality and reliability. The ball valve division grew rapidly, prompting the Merlini brothers to specialize exclusively in this product, and Bremer has remained at the forefront of ball valve manufacturing ever since.

In 1990, Bremer conducted its first cryogenic test, a milestone that expanded its expertise in cryogenic valve production. Today, the company operates its own in-house cryogenic testing facilities, ensuring exceptional quality and performance for the most demanding applications.
All Bremer Valves products are designed, manufactured, and assembled exclusively in Northern Italy, adhering to the ISO 9001 international quality standards and API 6D certifications.
